Regula Stämpfli new IFG DirectorParis, november 22nd 20007 (hfg) - Regula Stämpfli has been appointed new director of the Advsiory Board of the International Forum for Designing , IFG. The appointment followed the recommendation of a majority of the Advisory Board of the IFG, a subsidiary of the HfG Ulm Foundation. Regula Stämpfli has been a member of the IFG Advisory Board for years. Regula Stämpfli, a renowned scholar of political and communication science (www.regulastaepfli.ch), has lived and worked in Brussels, Ulm, and in Switzerland. In addition to her activities as a docent of politics and political philosophy at the Swiss Colle of Journalism MAZ at Lucern and the CASIN at Geneva, she has written and published numerous books, articles, and columns. Among other institutions, Staempfli is a member of the Council on Ethics of Public Statistics of Switzerland (since 2005) and of the Council of the Gostell Archives Foundation. Staempli’s predecessor, Rene Spitz, according to his own explanation, had resigned his post because of professional and personal reasons. Dr. Dieter Bosch, managing chief executive of the Board of Directors of the Foundation HfG Ulm and the IFG, declared after the meeting of the Advisory Board on November 21, 2007, at Paris: “We are deeply indebted to Rene Spitz”. By his exemplary commitment and his outstanding qualifications Rene Spitz had clearly defined the profile of the HfG Foundation of Ulm and above all of the IFG. Dr. Bosch thanked Rene Spitz espüecially for his organisation of the expert hearings at the Ulm Kuhberg in the past years. Dieter Bosch stated that the Advisory Board had focused their attention on the international designing scene by appointing the internationally renowned scholar Regula Staempfli. Since the International Forum for Designing (IFG) has decided in 2005 on a new direction with its promotional program “Designing politics – The politics opf Design”, the Foundation HfG Ulm and its subsidiary IFG aim at an increased international awareness. |
