Photography and Filming

Private Photography
You do not need to book in advance for private photography at the HfG Ulm. Photography is permitted in the freely accessible outdoor areas and in the public areas of the building during your visit, provided it is for purely private use. 

Professional photography
For commercial or professional photography (e.g. using equipment such as tripods or flash), you must obtain a filming and photography permit in advance from the HfG Ulm Foundation. 
The same applies to photographs taken as part of a school or university project. 

Publishing your photographs – even on private social media profiles – may, under certain circumstances, infringe copyright, as the buildings are protected by copyright. 
 
The publication of film and photographic material for commercial purposes requires, in addition to authorisation from the owner, the HfG Ulm Foundation, permission from VG Bild-Kunst.
